The Penn State White Out is a bucket list event for every Penn State fan and has been called the single greatest atmosphere in American sports. This sell-out crowd of 110,830 Nittany Lion fans, all donned in white shirts, turned Beaver Stadium into a wall of white and sea of deafening sound, creating a true home-field advantage for Penn State. Since 2007, more than 1 million people have been part of the raucous crowd at these Penn State White Out games. On this day, September 23, 2023, amidst a steady rain, Penn State dominated the Iowa Hawkeyes, allowing them fewer than 100 yards total offense, earning a 31-0 victory, and generating their first shutout since 2000. 2
